Online Vet Tech Program: Blue Ridge Community College

The program at Blue Ridge Community College is fully-accredited, however, there are several restrictions you need to know about. First of all, this program basically intended for people who live in the Weyers Cave, VA area who cannot attend on-campus classes because they are busy with family or work obligations. Exams and laboratory credits are given on-campus three times per semester, so you’ll need to be able to travel to the campus at least a few times if you want to enroll in this program.

Students who enroll in this program must also already be working, or be able to find a job working, with a licensed veterinary doctor. The minimum hourly requirement is 20 hours per week. This is a convenient option for anyone who already has a good relationship with a vet, such as individuals who are working as veterinary assistants.

Graduates of this online vet tech program have a 100% pass rate on the National Veterinary Technician Exam.
